HOLY WEEK WORSHIP SCHEDULE

  Palm/Passion Sunday,  8:15am, 9:15am, 11:15am

At all three services there will be a procession of palms.  At 9:15 our Sunday School will be sharing their message and the Young Gospel Singers and Jubilation Choir will be offering their music.  At the 11:15am service we will bless the newly painted partitions in the Fellowship Hall.

 Holy Wednesday, 6:30pm

This year we will be offering a Seder meal similar to our Jewish brothers and sisters.  We will lift up the Passover connections to our faith and how Jesus is the Passover Lamb that must be sacrificed.

 Maundy Thursday, 6:30pm

This service will begin with soup and rolls at 6:30pm.  Great food to gather us together before we share Holy Communion and lift up Jesus’ command to offer sacrificial love to others.  The service is in the Fellowship Hall and the Contemporary Praise Band will lead us in worship.

Good Friday,   12noon  &  7:30pm

Two great opportunities to worship.   At noon we will lift up the cross that Christ died on for our sakes.  At 7:30pm we will be going back to our traditional Tenebrae Service as the sanctuary gets darker and darker as each candle is extinguished.  This is to show the darkness when God’s light/love is no longer in the world.

 Holy Saturday  Easter Vigil,  7:30pm

Our young people will be leading this powerful service of in between times, a time of waiting.  The service has 4 parts; fire, readings, baptism and Holy Communion.  We move through the facility lifting up each of these parts.  The kids are working hard and need you support and presence.

 Easter Sunday, 8:15, 9:15, 11:15am

One of the most joyous and important days to worship as Christians.  This is the central core of our belief.  There will be an 8:15 sunrise service with special music.  The 9:15am service will have brass musicians and a sermon on “Why Do We Need the Resurrection, Anyway?”  Our 11:15 am contemporary worship will have special music and the Contemporary Praise Band.
