This year Christ Lutheran will be continuing the tradition of having a “Blue Christmas” service. Blue? Yes, blue, as in “the blues”. As in, “I’m feeling blue”. Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with pain or illness or some other dis-ease that puts a question mark on the future. These and so many more make parties and joy painful for many people. It can be dark times. We will have a “Blue Christmas’ service on Saturday, December 15 at 5:15pm. The service will be reflective, accepting where we really are and holding out healing and hope. See you there.
