In 2008 the Sunday School collected coins for their Lenten project and donated the money to Kiva. Kiva is an organization that allows us to lend money to people in need from all over the world. In the last nine years, we have made 68 loans to people in 28 different countries. This week Nicholas Attanasio and Nicholas Pincott reviewed some loan applications and chose to donate money to a woman in Haiti who will use the money to help fund her small business and a man in Bolivia who will use the money to get dental treatment after a bicycle accident as a child left him with severe dental issues. If you would like to review the loan requests and choose our next recipient, please see Mary Ann Stephens.
